Substrate and preparation
The substrate must be dry (wood moisture content max. 14 %) and free of dirt and grease. Clean with LEINOS Vegetable Soap 930 (wipe with a damp cloth). Neutralise with clear water. Allow the floor to dry thoroughly. The floor temperature during application must be at least 16 °C.
Processing
Stir carefully before use! Oil Refurbisher is applied evenly and thinly with a short-pile floor wiper (mop). Remove excess oil after 15-20 minutes and polish the surface with a white pad. Heavily worn and worn, lean surfaces must be treated a second time with Oil Refurbisher. Heavily worn, stressed surfaces can also be treated with Hardwax Oil 290 be treated. Carry out a preliminary test! Ensure optimum fresh air circulation during processing and drying!
Oil wash: Depending on the degree of soiling and absorbency of the wood, distribute 100-200 ml/m² evenly and leave to work for approx. 10 minutes. Then loosen the dirt with a green pad and carefully remove with a rubber lip or similar. Depending on the degree of soiling, this dirt solution can be reapplied approx. 2-3 times to the neighbouring surface. After the floor surface of a room has been cleaned, it is completely rubbed dry again with a white pad until there is no more excess. In order to achieve a uniform surface appearance, Oil Refurbisher can be applied very thinly with a white polishing pad after approx. 24 hours drying time. Carry out a preliminary test!
Drying time
Dry, sandable and recoatable after 6-12 hours (20 °C, humidity 50-55 %). Floors can be carefully loaded after 1 day. Full load-bearing capacity after 7-14 days. This system requires atmospheric oxygen to dry. Therefore, ensure good ventilation, e.g. with a fan in stagnant air (also to avoid odours).
Consumption
Consumption and coverage depend on the absorbency of the substrate and the type of application. Maintenance approx. 30-40 ml/m². Oil wash approx. 100-200 ml/m². Determine exact consumption on the object.
