Walls with a vintage look? This is how it works!
First apply the base coat with the desired Pigment Concentrates 668 colour, apply and, once dry, apply the Vintage Wall Ground, also tinted, as a base filler.
With the vintage technique, the aim is to achieve an uneven, relief-like texture on the base coat. You can use a hot air dryer to create cracks, for example, and further emphasise the texture. After further drying, new colour nuances can be filled in.
Before applying the vintage finish, the wall still needs to be sanded down depending on the desired result. This allows the different layers of colour to stand out thanks to the relief structure.

Processing
LEINOS Natural Resin Emulsion Paint 660 with matching Pigment Concentrate 668 colour the substrate and allow to dry thoroughly.
Tint Vintage Wall Ground 631 and apply as a base filler individually in different layer thicknesses. Immediately after application, dry the levelling compound with a hot air device (approx. 500 °C, approx. 400-500 l/min air volume) in circular movements on the surface until stress cracks appear. After a further 24 hours or so, the thoroughly dried surface can be finished with coloured Vintage Wall Ground or pigment concentrates with other colour nuances. Before finishing with the Vintage finish the wall still needs to be sanded down depending on the desired result. This allows the different layers of colour to stand out thanks to the relief structure. Japanese spatulas or similar spatulas are suitable tools. Room and surface temperature above 15 °C.
Tip: LEINOS recommends first trying out the filler on a coated sample panel to assess the choice of colour and technique.
Drying time
Can be ploughed over after 2-3 hours, polishable after approx. 24 hours.
Consumption
Between 30 and 70 g/m² per coat, depending on the type of design and application method.
