To prevent woodworms or other wood-destroying insects or fungi from becoming established in the first place, we have developed the Woodworm Free product for LEINOS. Its physical-mechanical effect makes the wood unrecognisable to pests, making it the ideal product to preventively protect your wood. It can be used not only indoors, but also in roofed outdoor areas and damp rooms.

Substrate and preparation
The wood surface must be firm, clean, free of grease and dust, untreated and absorbent. The wood moisture content should be 15-20 %. Shake or stir the container well before use. Heavily infested wood should be filed down before treatment.
Processing
Brushing, spraying, dipping or trough impregnation. Ambient and surface temperature above 15 °C. In case of woodworm infestation, carefully and completely saturate all feeding holes, if necessary with a disposable sprayer.
A. Contribution procedure
1. Brushing, spraying (at least 2 coats are required):
Woodworm Free 130 should be applied two to three times to ensure a reliable effect. Cracks must be carefully re-treated by painting. When spraying, allow for losses due to spray mist.
2. Dipping or trough soaking:
Observe a soaking time of at least 30 minutes. Wet and moist wood requires a soaking time of up to 24 hours.
3. For woodworm infestation:
Soak all visible feeding holes carefully and completely with Woodworm Free 130.
B. Follow-up treatment
If the surface is to be re-treated, make sure that Woodworm Free 130 has been applied to the entire surface and is completely dry. If necessary, remove crystallised material with a brush or damp cloth. Treat the interior with all LEINOS products based on oil or wax and the exterior with a weatherproof LEINOS product.
Drying time
Follow-up treatment after approx. 24 hours when the wood is completely dry.
Consumption
Brushing, spraying: Approx. 100 ml/m² per coat. At least 2 coats are required! - Dipping or trough impregnation: Approx. 15 l/m³.
