We can only recommend pre-treatment in the form of a primer to everyone. This satisfies the absorption behaviour of the wood in advance. As a result, you not only need less product for subsequent jobs, but you also get, for example, with Wood Varnish or Hardwax Oil also a significantly better colour gradient.
LEINOS Primer Oil does not contain any anti-fungal ingredients and is therefore primarily intended for indoor use. However, outdoor use is not excluded. If film protection is required, then use our LEINOS Impregnation Primer.

Substrate and preparation
The substrate must be dry (wood moisture content max. 14 %), solid, clean, free of grease and dust and absorbent. Pre-sand wooden surfaces with 120 grit on the outside and 150-180 grit on the inside in the direction of the fibres, depending on the type of wood and desired penetration depth. Ambient and surface temperature above 15 °C. Drying behaviour is delayed at lower temperatures. Stir the product carefully before use.
Processing
Apply undiluted and evenly with a glaze brush. Rolling, spraying or dipping is also possible.
Drying time
The drying time is approx. 16-24 hours (at 20 °C, air humidity approx. 55 %). For reliable drying and to avoid odours, we always recommend using a fan to ensure sufficient air circulation on the surface of the paint during the drying phase.
Consumption
Approx. 60-80 ml/m² per coat, may vary depending on the absorbency of the substrate.
