Facade Stain

Oil

The greying of wood is generally not welcome. One of the reasons for this is that natural greying never occurs evenly in all areas and therefore gives an uneven appearance. Causes for this are, for example, an orientation towards the more weathered side, beam joints or more protected areas such as roof overhangs.

However, grey/silver can of course also be a stylistic device and can be achieved with our Facade Stain product. We offer these in two different shades of silver grey and silver anthracite.

Thanks to the ingredients used, the Facade Stain offers durability that is impressive and provides our highest quality protection for exterior wood. However, if you would like to give your wood a coloured coating, we recommend our Weatherproof Paint on oil-based or Water-based.

Application is this simple

Substrate and preparation
The substrate must be dry, solid, clean, grease-free, dust-free and absorbent. A fungus-inhibiting primer, e.g. with Impregnation Primer 150 should be applied in advance.

Processing
Stir carefully before use. Brush, roll or spray. If necessary, the wood surfaces can be pre-sanded with 120 grit in the direction of the grain. The product can also be applied directly to rough sawn wood. We recommend priming with LEINOS Impregnation Primer 150. Then apply 1-2 coats of Facade Stain 264, allowing each coat to dry thoroughly before continuing. Intermediate sanding is not necessary. To achieve optimum results, please observe the technical data sheets for all products used. The ambient and surface temperature during application should be above 12 °C.

Drying time
Approx. 16-24 hours. This system requires sufficient quantities of atmospheric oxygen for drying.

Consumption
Approx. 40-60 ml/m² per application, equivalent to 16-25 m² per litre.
