Substrate and preparation
The wood must be untreated, well sanded, clean and dry (max. 14 % wood moisture content). Always shake or stir Hardwood Lye Clear well before and during application.
Processing
Apply with an acid-resistant roller or brush evenly in the direction of the fibres. Immediately rework any dry patches until an even whitish layer forms on the surface.
Drying time
Dust-dry after approx. 2-5 hours. Can be sanded and painted over after at least 24 hours. If the drying times are not adhered to, yellowish discolouration may occur in the wood. Ensure good ventilation.
Consumption
100-125 ml/m² or 8-10 m²/l, depending on the absorbency of the surface.
