Substrate and preparation
The substrate must be dry, solid, clean, free from grease and dust, and absorbent. Pre-sand wooden surfaces using 150–180 grit sandpaper in the direction of the grain.
Processing
Stir thoroughly before use! Apply by brush, roller, spray or dipping. Room and surface temperature must be above 15 °C. The product should be applied in at least two coats. A wet-on-wet technique may be used: the second coat can be applied after a waiting time of 20–30 minutes. Important note: Regardless of the application method, the excess oil must be carefully wiped off approximately 30 minutes after the final coat has been applied.
Sprayability:
Approximate guidelines: Airless: nozzle 0.20 mm, spray angle: approx. 30°–40°, filter approx. 100–180 mesh; high pressure: nozzle 0.20 mm, spray angle 30°, filter 100–180 mesh, low-pressure: nozzle 0.20 mm
Drying time
Dust-dry after approx. 10–12 hours. Can be walked on and recoated after approx. 16–24 hours. To ensure thorough drying and to prevent odours, we always recommend using a fan to ensure adequate air circulation over the painted surface during the drying phase.
Consumption
Approx. 60–80 ml/m²; this may vary depending on the absorbency of the substrate.
Available colours
Light-coloured, absorbent surfaces may dry to a slightly darker shade. The degree to which wood takes on a rich, warm colour varies depending on how it has grown.
