Wood Varnish for indoors

Substrate and preparation
To achieve optimum results, please observe the technical data sheets for all products used. The substrate must be dry, solid, clean, grease-free, dust-free and absorbent. 

Processing
Brush, roll or spray. Ambient and surface temperature above 15 °C.

A. Coating structure for untreated or absorbent substrates:
Pre-sand wooden surfaces with 120 grit in the direction of the fibres. Prime with Primer Oil 220. Then apply 2-3 thin coats of Wood Varnish 261. To achieve optimum results, please refer to the technical data sheets for all products used.

B. Renovation coating:
Completely remove old coatings that close the pores. If the substrate is absorbent, it must be primed. Then apply 2-3 thin coats of Wood Varnish 261.

Please note: Protect old cracked beams from driving rain during and 3-4 days after painting. Cracks in young wood that appear later must be treated immediately.

Sprayability:
Non-binding guide values: Airless: nozzle 0.20 mm, spray angle: approx. 30°-40°, filter approx. 100-180 meshes, high pressure: nozzle 0.20 mm, spray angle 30° filter 100-180 meshes, low pressure: nozzle 0.20 mm

Drying time
Approx. 16-24 hours. For reliable drying and to avoid odours, we always recommend using a fan to ensure sufficient air circulation on the surface of the paint during the drying phase.

Consumption
Approx. 60-80 ml/m² per application. Apply sparingly to avoid drying problems!
