Substrate and preparation
The substrate must be dry, free from dust and grease, moderately absorbent but sound, and free from release agents, cracks, efflorescence and mould. Highly absorbent substrates with LEINOS Deep Sealer 620 pre-treat.
Processing
Stir thoroughly before use. Generally, apply two coats undiluted at room temperatures above 12 °C. When applying with a roller, ensure an even finish. Suitable for airless spraying.
A. Painting on plaster, concrete and woodchip wallpaper:
Depending on the absorbency of the surface, apply a primer and then one or two coats of paint.
B. Plasterboard, fabric wallpaper:
With LEINOS Deep Sealer 620 Apply a coat of primer. Then apply 1–2 coats of paint.
C. Solid old paint layers:
Thoroughly clean off any old emulsion paint. Remove all traces of distemper and wash the surface clean. Carry out a test coat! Remove all traces of old latex, oil and varnish paints. Then follow the painting procedure as described under B.
Sprayability:
Approximate guidelines (for reference only): Airless: nozzles 0.38–0.43 mm, spray angle approx. 30°–40°, filter approx. 100–50 mesh.
Drying time
Dries after 12 hours at 23 °C and 50 per cent relative humidity.
