Reinforcing fleece with adhesive requires a lot of waiting time, as it has to dry before the wall can be finished. This waiting time can be completely avoided with our Silicate-Hybrid Paint product, as it can be used both as an adhesive and as a finishing coat.
Silicate-Hybrid Paint is applied to the substrate instead of the adhesive. The final coat of the same product is applied to the glass fibre fleece.
This method allows you to create a high-quality wall surface without wallpaper or adhesive. Another advantage of this paint is its high pH value. This also makes it ideal for mould prevention and remediation.
The colour is available with many Colour pigments can be tinted by LEINOS.

Substrate and preparation
All surfaces to be reinforced must be prepared professionally in accordance with VOB Part C DIN 18636 or the BFS data sheets. Carefully remove wallpaper and paste residues. Depending on the quality requirements, the substrate should be at least a good Q2 levelling compound. Substrates with water-soluble, discolouring substances must be checked for suitability beforehand. Alkali-sensitive substrates must be covered. Smooth and non-absorbent substrates must be primed with LEINOS Mineral Plaster Primer different absorbent substrates can be pretreated with LEINOS Silicate Primer 621thinned 1:1 to 1:3 with water. LEINOS Silicate-Hybrid Paint is ready to use as a non-woven adhesive and should NOT be diluted as an adhesive.
Processing
LEINOS Silicate-Hybrid Paint is applied generously to all load-bearing substrates by rolling, brushing or spraying. One coat is sufficient! While the paint film is still wet (approx. 350-450 ml/m²), a glass fibre fleece (approx. 35 g/m² and 270 µm) is laid dry, free of creases and bubbles, with an overlap of approx. 5 cm and pressed down with a featheredge trowel. A wavy double seam cut creates an "almost invisible" seam area. The final coat is now applied immediately, wet on wet, with LEINOS Silicate-Hybrid Paint and can be thinned with water up to 5 % if necessary.
A particular advantage is that you can save on time-consuming levelling work on filigree ceilings and prefabricated concrete walls.
Sprayability:
Non-binding guide values: Airless: Nozzles 0.38-0.58 mm, spray angle approx. 40°-50°, filter approx. 100-50 meshes.
Drying time
At least 24 hours at 20 °C and 50 % relative humidity. Ensure good ventilation!
Consumption
depending on the absorbency of the substrate, 1 litre is sufficient for approx. 1.5 m2. The exact consumption must be determined in advance on a sample surface.
