Substrate and preparation
The surface must be dry, solid, clean and free from grease and dust. Untreated, rough-sawn timber should be brushed down beforehand and treated with LEINOS Impregnation Primer 150 Prime. Scrape out any resin pockets and fill with LEINOS Thinner 200 Clean. Resin seepage cannot be prevented by coating techniques.
Processing
Apply sparingly by brushing, rolling or spraying at an ambient and surface temperature above 15 °C. Two coats are required. The product is ready for use. Stir thoroughly before use!
Sprayability:
Approximate guidelines (for reference only): Airless: nozzles 0.23–0.33 mm, spray angle: approx. 30°, filter: approx. 180 mesh.
Drying time
At 20 °C and 50 per cent relative humidity: dust-dry after approx. 12 hours. Dry and ready for recoating after approx. 24 hours. This system requires sufficient quantities of atmospheric oxygen to dry.
Consumption
Approx. 55–85 ml/m² per coat on planed or sanded wood. Coverage is slightly higher on rough-sawn wood. Apply sparingly to prevent drying problems!
