Substrate and preparation
Stir thoroughly before use. If the substrate is highly alkaline, it must be neutralised. Loose substrates and crumbling plaster must be treated with LEINOS Deep Sealer 620 must be primed. To achieve wash resistance in accordance with DIN EN ISO 11998 and DIN EN 13300, Class 3, the substrate must not be absorbent when the final coat is applied.
Processing
A. Painting on plaster, concrete and woodchip wallpaper:
Apply 1–2 coats, depending on the absorbency of the substrate. Each coat takes approx. 16–24 hours to dry.
B. Plasterboard, fabric wallpaper:
With LEINOS Deep Sealer 620, water-based concentrate, apply a primer. Then apply 1–2 coats. Drying time: approx. 16–24 hours between coats.
C. Solid old paint layers:
Thoroughly clean off any old emulsion paint. Remove all traces of distemper and wash the surface afterwards. Carry out a test coat! Remove all traces of old latex, oil and varnish paints. Then follow the painting procedure as described under A; apply a primer if the surface is highly absorbent.
Sprayability:
Approximate guidelines (not binding): Airless: nozzles 0.38–0.43 mm, spray angle approx. 30°–40°, filter approx. 100–50 mesh.
Drying time
At 20 °C and 50 % relative humidity: approx. 16–24 hours. This system requires sufficient atmospheric oxygen, a dry surface and a relative humidity that is not too high in order to dry properly. Therefore, work only on a dry substrate and ensure good ventilation; if necessary, use a fan to ensure thorough drying and to prevent odours from developing.
Consumption
Approx. 150 ml/m² per coat; this may vary depending on the absorbency of the substrate.
