Colourless and coloured wood finishing made easy! Ideal for heavily used wooden floors and stairs, terracotta, wood-based panels, etc. - also in the commercial sector.
Heavily used wooden floors, stairs, terracotta or wood-based panels need the right treatment to protect the wood and enjoy it for a long time. With LEINOS Hardwax Oil, you have an ideal product for a very resistant, silky matt oil-wax-resin coating, which also enables layer-forming sealing. The product is also ideal for commercial use due to its high solids content.
Hardwax Oil is also suitable for coloured finishes. We offer 8 colours and a colourless version, which we recommend for the final coat (see below).
In colourless and white we also have a solvent-free version of our Hardwax Oil in the range.

Substrate and preparation
The substrate must be dry (wood moisture content max. 14 %), clean and dust-free. The application temperature should preferably not be below 16 °C. Drying behaviour is delayed at lower temperatures. Final sanding of the surfaces with at least 120 grit or grid. Particularly highly absorbent substrates, such as cork, must be treated with Hard Oil 240 be primed.
Processing
Shake carefully before use. The Hardwax Oil is ready to use. Apply thinly and evenly with a short pile sealing roller or mop and spread well. Remove any excess after approx. 15-20 minutes and pad in with a green pad. After 16-24 hours, apply a second thin coat and polish with a white pad. If the surface feels rough after the first coat, sand with 150-180 grit. Remove sanding dust thoroughly before applying the second coat. A third coat of Hardwax Oil may be necessary for cork. Carry out a preliminary test! Ensure optimum fresh air circulation during application and drying of the products!
Care and aftercare:
Floors treated with Hardwax Oil with Vegetable Soap 930 (add max. 10-30 ml to 10 litres of wiping water, use damp, not wet) and, if necessary (if signs of wear appear), clean with Oil Refurbisher 285 care. Heavily used surfaces (schools, offices, etc.) are treated 4 weeks after the last application with Hardwax Oil initial basic care with Oil Refurbisher 285 after the floor has been treated with Vegetable Soap 930 has been cleaned. Further maintenance care with Oil Refurbisher is carried out as required.
Drying time
The drying time is approx. 6-12 hours (20 °C / 50-55 % relative humidity). The 2nd coat is applied after 16-24 hours. Slightly loadable after 3 days. Full load-bearing capacity after 7-14 days. For reliable drying and to avoid odours, we always recommend the use of a fan to ensure sufficient air circulation on the surface during the drying phase.
Consumption
30-50 ml/m²; coverage approx. 25 m²/litre. Determine exact consumption on the object.
