Substrate and preparation
To achieve the best possible results, please refer to the technical data sheets for all products used. The substrate must be dry, sound, clean, free from grease and dust, and must not be absorbent. We recommend priming with LEINOS Resin Lacquer Primer 810 and an intermediate sanding with 150/180 grit. For highly absorbent surfaces, a three-stage process with LEINOS Primer Oil 220, Resin Lacquer Primer 810 and a top coat may be advisable. For coloured finishes, the Resin Lacquer Primer can be mixed with the Finishing Lacquer in a ratio of 10:1. Scrape out any resin pockets and LEINOS Thinner 200 Clean. Resin seepage cannot be prevented by coating techniques.
Processing
The product is ready for use. Stir thoroughly before use! Apply by brushing, rolling or spraying. Test compatibility and adhesion to the substrate by applying test patches. During application and drying, protect surfaces from rain, wind, direct sunlight and condensation. Between the primer and intermediate coat stages, sand lightly (P180) once dry. Wear a dust mask when sanding! A second coat of Finishing Lacquer may be applied as required. The final gloss level will be achieved 2–3 weeks after application.
Sprayability:
Approximate guidelines (for reference only): Airless: nozzles 0.23–0.33 mm, spray angle: approx. 30°, filter: approx. 180 mesh.
Colour shades
The Finishing Lacquer Mix can be tinted by machine to match RAL colour charts. All colours can be mixed together. Also available in all LEINOS Trend Colours – Discover them now!
Drying time
Dust-dry after approx. 8 hours, touch-dry after approx. 12 hours. Can be sanded and recoated after 24 hours. This system requires sufficient quantities of atmospheric oxygen to dry. Therefore, ensure good ventilation. At low temperatures, high humidity or if the maximum coat thickness is exceeded, the drying process may be significantly delayed.
Consumption
Approx. 70–100 ml/m², depending on the absorbency of the substrate.
